These Firsties are quite the unruly lot, really. I snag at least three out of their Dormitories after curfew. I believe the most was ten so far. I don't remember ever being that disobedient, or making that many mistakes, rather.

Oh, and on another note of prepubescent rebellion, the Third Years really must learn how to control their raging hormones. I don't appreciate running into you hiding in the Quidditch Locker Rooms slobbering all over each other like drivelling puppies, or the likes.

Well, at least I have some form of excitement in my life. School is proving to be a bore [Slytherins] and I can't help but feeling completely isolated from all of the goings-on with the war and the advances that the Death Eaters have made. My father is not in the position to be sending owls, and it certainly doesn't cross my mother's brain that perhaps her son would like to know at least some details of what's occurring.[/Slytherins]

And of course, the latest Quidditch practises haven't aided in easing the worry and lack of excitement. What's there to be anticipating when one is certain of loss and utter failure? Because that's what the Slytherin team is destined for if we don't start shaping up sometime soon. And if we lose, then there'll be some very important queries that many people will have to answer to.

On another note... was anyone else thoroughly amused by today's 'war drill'? Or the new Potions teacher?

Quidditch Practise Schedule for September

Week I: 4 September, 5 September, 6 September

Week II: 11 September, 12 September, 13 September

Week III: 18 September, 19 September, 20 September

Week IV: 25 September, 26 September, 27 September

As of now, Slytherin has the Quidditch Pitch for every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for the next two months. There will be extra practises added during the week prior to our first match.

I also expect the entire team to be present for Chaser tryouts on Saturday, 15 September.

And so it begins once more, for the sixth time in my life.

In slightly less than six days, I will be returning to King's Cross Station, milling among the riffraff and plebeians that populate the Muggle world... a task I really do enjoy very, very much. Each time I walk to Platform Nine and Three Quarters, I curse the wizard who thought that perhaps it wasn't the safest thing to give underage witches and wizards free reign of power during the summer holiday.

Despite this annual trip which I utterly loathe with every fibre of my being, there seems to be a glimmer of hope, albeit dim. This year I find that, upon my return to Hogwarts, I do not have to torture myself with hours and hours of unnecessary, wasteful, and genuinely stupid classes like Care of Magical Creatures, Divination, Herbology, and what have you. My distaste for these classes, however, did not hamper my grades, thankfully.

Potions - Outstanding
Astronomy - Outstanding
Herbology - Outstanding
Transfiguration - Outstanding
Charms - Outstanding
Defence Against the Dark Arts - Outstanding
History of Magic - Outstanding
Care of Magical Creatures - Exceeds Expectations

That last one was a mistake, one that will soon be rectified by my mother and a small portion of our Gringotts account. Obviously that oaf can't read exam papers properly. Not very surprising; I always had suspicions of illiteracy.

Either way, I must depart for Diagon Alley quite soon. It has been an unusual pleasure writing in this journal, and I'll see if I can do so again. I'm sure I have many fans...
